Citroën is unveiling its pioneering product line-up – ‘The Citroënizing 3 in Indonesia



Jakarta, Indonesia, 7 December 2022 – Today Citroën is unveiling its pioneering product line-up – ‘The Citroënizing 3’ comprising New Citroën C3, New Citroën C5 Aircross and the battery electric vehicle, New Citroën e-C4. This launch follows the official announcement of the partnership inked between PT Indomobil Wahana Trada, subsidiary of the Indomobil Group and Stellantis NV for the distribution and sales of the products in Indonesia in October 2022.


Reinforcing its commitment to its customers in Indonesia, ‘The Citroënizing 3’ initial product line-up was carefully selected to embody Citroën’s ‘Dare to Care’ tagline and brand promise. The tagline exemplifies Citroën’s three brand principles: Accessibility, Care and Audacity that are ingrained in all models’ DNA throughout the world, including Indonesia.

New Citroën C3, a Practical Hatchback with Customized Comfort and SUV attitude


New Citroën C3 marks the start of a new chapter for Citroën. This model embodies the Citroën brand spirit and was designed to meet the needs of the Asian market. New C3 is the first model from Citroën’s “C-Cubed” program which was launched in 2019. The three C’s in the program represents Citroën’s positioning – Cool, Comfort and Clever referring to the unique model designs, Citroën experience and tailor-made conception to meet local needs.


The New Citroën C3’s design reflects the young and dynamic personality of the customers’ profile. C3 owners value the practicality, comfort and connectivity, all found in one car. The colourful and versatile B-hatch also enables owners to customise their car to express their personality and lifestyle.


New Citroën C3 is designed for young and progressive consumers, offering four themes of the Citroën comfort:

  •      LIVE ELEVATED with attractive SUV-style design and adjustable tall seating for its driver
  •      HAPPY SPACE for all, with driving comfort likened to a flying carpet, interior air conditioning for tropical climates as well as a spacious cabin

  •      CUSTOMIZED COMFORT with 4 body colours available and 2 dual-tone colours for a total of 6 different colour combination options


Offering even more driving enjoyment, the heart of New C3 is a powerful and efficient 81 HP 1.2 liter PureTech engine with peak torque of 115 Nm. Combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, New Citroën C3 delivers fuel-economy of 19.8 km/liter of fuel.

New Citroën C5 Aircross, Comfort of Modern and Dynamic SUV


Since its debut in 2022 the New Citroën C5 Aircross SUV is recognized as one of the most comfortable SUVs in its class, for both its driver and passengers. Made for families, it has a unique and assertive design.


Offering unrivalled experience of onboard peace of mind, the New C5 Aircross is a hallmark of the Citroën brand DNA. It dons Citroën’s unique characteristics which make it stand out in its class. Exclusive to Citroën vehicles, its Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® enhances absorption of imperfections in the road to ensure that all passengers ride in comfort, offering a flying carpet experience.


The New C5 Aircross is the only SUV in this segment that offers three individual sliding, reclining and retractable seats, providing a different family SUV standard in its class. Its Best-in-Class boot volume starts from 580 litres, which can be raised to 1630 litres by folding its rear seats.


Under the hood, New C5 Aircross has a 1.6 Litre Turbo PureTech engine, capable of producing peak power of up to 165 HP and torsion of 240 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

New Citroën ë-C4, Inaugurating Electrification for the Compact Hatchback


In 2020, Citroën introduced the program “Citroën goes Ëlectric for all” with the launch of six electric cars – one of which was the fully electric Citroën ë-C4. Its introduction marked a new stage in Citroën’s increasingly spirited electrification strategy as a reinvented compact hatchback. Today, ë-C4 makes up 40% of all C4 units sold in Europe. 


New Citroën ë-C4 is a strong step forward in Citroën design, offering a raised stance on large diameter wheels that are seemingly ready to pounce. Designed with an energetic, aerodynamic and mixed silhouette, it incorporates SUV standards and an assertive design that provides numerous possibilities for customization.


Similar to New Citroën C3 and C5 Aircross, New Citroë-C4 is fitted with Citroën Advanced Comfort® which offers modern all-round comfort for all, with a focus on every aspect of onboard well-being. It is also equipped with the Citroën unique suspension: Progressive Hydraulic Cushions®, Advanced Comfort seats, and Citroën Smart Pad Support™.


The comfortable riding experience is elevated with 6 driving assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, City Stop, Active Lane Positioning Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Detection and six connectivity technologies. These qualities are amplified in the New Citroën ë-C4, with a 100% electric engine, delivering all the advantages of the ë-Comfort: silence, smoothness, ease and pleasure of use, which is enjoyed by both driver and passengers in the car.


New Citroën ë-C4 has an efficient engine with zero CO2 emission and offers a driving range of up to 350 km (WLTP measure) for smooth electric riding comfort. Its electric motor has a power of up to 130 HP and torsion of 300 Nm immediately available for clean, linear acceleration. Citroën ë-C4 uses a 50 kWh battery with high voltage of 400 V Lithium-Ion.


The electric car has a braking mode that amplifies deceleration without pressing the brake pedals and increases range. This system enables energy recovery during the braking and deceleration phases.


ë-C4 drivers can choose from three modes – Eco, Normal and Power –. Each mode regulates various parameters including AC and power, as well as effective power and performance. This enables the driver to select a combination of optimal dynamic driving or eco-driving. To provide assurance to the owners of New Citroën ë-C4, the traction battery is under warranty for 8 years or 160,000 km.
